Abstract

The fisheries sector is a sector that has the potential to be developed in Indonesia, this potential is related to the cultivation of consumption fish and ornamental fish. However in cultivating consumption and ornamental fish, production risks often occur in fish hatchery businesses, especially catfish in Metro City. This research aimed to determine the risk of catfish hatchery production in Margorejo Village south Metro District Metro City. The sampling method used was nonprobability sampling, namely the census method. The sample was 30 farmers who had a catfish hatchery business in Margorejo Village. The aim of this research was answered using the Coefficient of Variation (CV) formula. The research results showed that the risk of catfish hatchery production in Margosari Village, South Metro District, Metro City is high due to disease, poor water quality and lack of water availability during the dry season.
