Tentang Jurnal Ini

Journal of Halal Food Technology (JoHFT) is a peer-reviewed national scientific journal that aims to publish original research articles, reviews and innovation in the field of Halal Food Technology which covers production, processing, quality assurance, food safety, and halal regulation and certification. This journal is published biannual by the Food Technology Department of the State Polytechnic of Lampung. The first edition of this journal was published in July 2026 and continues to the present.

The objectives of Halal Food Technology Journal are to:

  1. Accommodate original scientific articles related to halal food technology.
  2. To promote the application of science and technology in the halal food industry.
  3. To provide a means of dissemination of information on the latest developments in halal food technology.
  4. To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information on halal food research, production, processing, quality assurance, safety and certification.
  5. To contribute to the development of halal food technology science and its application in the halal food industry.

 

Halal Food Technology Journal accepts various types of scientific articles that contribute to the development of halal food science and technology. Articles that can be submitted include:

  1. Original Research Article: Experimental research or scientific studies which are new and have not been published before.
  2. Review Article: An examination of recent innovations in halal food technology. Evaluate and synthesize the current literature to develop new insights or potential directions for future research.
  3. Case Study: Analyzes the halal food technology or policy implementation in a specific company, industry or area. Offers strategic and practical understanding of the opportunities and challenges of halal standards adoption.
  4. Short Communication: Presents research findings that are important but more restricted in scope. Intended to present new innovations, new analytical tools, or preliminary findings that can be used as a basis for further research.
  5. Conceptual or Perspective Articles: Introduces new ways of thinking or critical assessment of an important issue in food technology and the halal industry.

Focus and scope

The food production processes and engineering, food fermentation and biotechnology, quality assurance and food safety, halal food regulation and certification, halal food authentication and traceability,  halal food market and the economic trends, blockchain  and the digitization of the halal food industry.

Each edition contains articles that have gone through a peer-review process with a double-blind review system, ensuring that each publication has high academic quality and is in accordance with scientific standards.
