Instalasi Listrik Yang Benar Dan Aman Dalam Upaya Mencegah Bahaya Kebakaran Akibat Konsleting Listrik Di Daerah Padat Penduduk

Abstract

One of the causes of a fire is due to an electrical surge. Electric surge is a result of lack of public awareness regarding the use, correct and safe selection of electrical equipment and the high number of homes that have the potential to burn due to electricity installations that are more than 20 years old. The prototype of electrical installations is a solution offered to the public, the prototype was made referring to the General Requirements for Electrical Installation (PUIL 2000) for residential houses and the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for installation equipment. In addition to making electrical installation prototypes, counseling on the use of electrical equipment and its utilization as well as electrical installation workshops / training were also conducted. Before training in electrical installations, only 60-65% of the public understood electricity installations. This observation is done to improve partner skills in selecting, installing, and maintaining installation equipment to avoid electrical shortages. At the end of the activity, the participants' level of understanding of electrical installations became 85 - 97%.
