Banana peel is a material that can be used as a source of potassium for organic fertilizer. Potassium fertilizer has a role in increasing plant productivity. Bananas have the potential to be used as a source of alkali. In this study, potassium extraction was carried out using banana peel ash. The method used is the titration method. The variables studied are variations in the type of solvent. The solvent used is distilled water, with a ratio of 1:6 and 1:8. The resulting extraction still contains residual solvent. The extraction process was carried out at 70°C for 2-3 hours, and then every 20 minutes the extract was taken for titration. The results of this study found that the total mass of potassium obtained was greatest with an F/V composition of 1:8 using a microwave heat medium of 7.21 grams (absorbed K level of 15.21%). In the titration method using a microwave heater, it is considered more capable of increasing the value of absorbed K levels in the extraction of potassium from banana peels compared to heating media heaters. Quantitatively, extraction using microwave heat media increases efficiency by 11–68% compared to heater media. Increasing the F/V ratio from 1:6 to 1:8 quantitatively also increases the absorbed K level by 38.4%.Downloads
