Abstrak

Disease control is one of the important things to maintain livestock productivity in a livestock business unit. The goal of my Final Project (TA) is to understand abscess disease as a result of bacterial infection at PT. Indo Prima Beef I Terbanggi Besar, Central Lampung. An abscess is a collection of pus that is found in a part of the cow's body that is infected by bacteria in the form of a lump. Observation activities used to obtain complementary data for the final assignment are: direct observation to the cage, interviews and reference data sourced from books, journals, final assignments, and the internet. Observation activities begin on February 20 - June 16 2023. Direct observations begin at 08.00 until finished. Some of the handling activities carried out by PT. Indo Prima Beef I, namely: handling abscesses such as cleaning the wound first using antibiotics, then removing the pus slowly, after the pus in the abscess is clean and then given 5 ml of Procaben LA drug into the abscess wound, after that it is sprayed Limoxin-25 Spray to speed up dry wounds and to avoid flies, the last stage was injection of 15 ml of Injekvit-B12, then 15 ml of Medipiron, and finally 15 ml of Procaben LA. After completing the surgery and injections, the treatment is carried out under control for 2 weeks.
