Broiler Cage Management in Karya Mandiri Farm Coop, Trimulyo Village, Tegineneng District, Pesawaran Regency

The purpose of this final project is to gain an understanding of livestock management and broiler housing management at Karya Mandiri Farm. Methods of data collection included observation, interviews, hands-on practice. The results of the observations showed that Karya Mandiri Farm's broiler chickens were well managed in terms of the location of the cages which were built on flat land and facing north and south. Closed cage construction using asbestos roof and tarpaulin attached to the walls and inside of the cage to stabilize the temperature inside the cage. The right size cage. The size of the cage (close house) at Karya Mandiri Farm has (height 4 m, length 88 m, width 8 m and area 704 m^2). The capacity of the cage owned by the cage (close house) at Karya Mandiri Farm is (20,000 head). The cage equipment in the form of a feeder used is a super feeder and a drinker in the form of a good automatic nipple.

Maju Prosperous Livestock Production Cooperative (KPT-MS) is a cooperative engaged in livestock and animal health. Shredded is one type of preserved processed food ingredients derived from meat. Meat is one of the important food ingredients in meeting nutritional needs and has a fairly high protein content. The objectives in processing processed meat products are to extend the shelf life, change the product according to the wishes, increase the nutritional content of the product, and increase the types of processed products. The purpose of this final project is to find out the Processing Process of Shredded Beef Products and Business Analysis at KPT-MS. The research was carried out for ± 4 months, namely in February - June 2023. From the results of Observation of the Shredded Beef Processing Process carried out at KPT-MS, starting from meat preparation, cooking, preparation of papaya filling ingredients, preparation of onion filling ingredients, reduction of oil, mixing all materials and packaging. The results of Business Analysis Calculations obtained R/C values of 1.4 and Production BEP of 80 Pcs.

Case Report of Uterine Prolapse in Cattle

A 4-years-old female brahman cross cow in PT. Indo Prima Beef II presented a pink to dark brown mass protruding from vagina, hanging to the back of the body after parturition. The cow diagnosed with uterine prolapse. Uterine prolapse is a change in the position of the uterus out through the vagina and hangs on the vulva. Minor surgery needed to reposition a pink to dark brown mass protruding from the vagina in a purse-string pattern but before the surgery performed, an epidural anesthetic lidocaine compositum injection is given at dose of 5mg/kg. Treatment using antibiotic injection of Penstrep-400 LA 1ml/10kg and vitamin injection of Biosan TP 20ml/cow at post-surgery was well tolerated. Cow was declared healthy and estrus in sixty days after treatment.

Case Report of Pink Eye in Sapera Goats

Twelve sapera goats aged 2 months to 1.5 years old in CV. Telaga Rizky presented decreased appetite, yellowish white discharge in the eyes causing the eyes closed and blink, swelling in the eyes, reddish discoloration in conjunctiva accompanied by a cloudy color of the cornea. The goats diagnosed with pink eye disease. Pink eye or keratoconjunctivitis is a contagious bacterial disease of the eyes. Treatment using mixed lime and antibiotic of Dumocycline as topical medicine in the eyes twice a day also vitamin injection of Vitol-140 3ml/goats once along the treatment was well tolerated. Goats was declared healthy in a week of treatment.

Implementation Of Beef Cattle Sanitation At Pt. Indo Prima Beef I Terbanggi Besar District, Lampung Central

Sanitation is an activity carried out by breeders to maintain the cleanliness of the cage and its environment. With a clean stabel and environment, the health of livestock and workers is maintained. The purpose of the author of this final project is to explain the implementation of beef cattle pen sanitation at PT. Indo Prima Beef I, Terbanggi Besar District, Central Lampung. Some of the activities carried out include sanitation activities, cleaning cages cleaning places to dring and feed, cleaning equipment, cleaning cage floors, spraying disinfectants and cleaning workes. Direct activities observation starts from February 20- June 16 2023. Direct activities start at 06.00 until 16.00. Then based on the resultes and discussion it can be concluded that at PT. Indo Prima Beef I, Terbanggi Besar District, Central Lampung has carried out activities properly according to work procedures. This can be seen from the sanitation of cages, sanitation of places to drink and feed, sanitation of equipment, sanitation of workers and always keeping the environment clean to avoid disease.

Basil Leaf (Ocimum sanctum L.) Extract Activities in Dringking Water as A Phytobiotics on The Productivity of Jowo Super chicken

Natural products as phytobiotics comes from plants or aromatic plants. Ulitization of phytobiotics as a substitute for antibiotics, one of which come from basil leaf (Ocimum Sanctum L) extract. Jowo Super chicken is the result of crossbreeding between kampong chicken and layer. This research was performed to identify the productivity of Joper chicken by utilizing the phytobiotics of basil leaf extract and get the best dose of basil leaf ekstract to produce good productivity. Ninety DOCs of Joper chicken were using litter cages and put in 9 units of cages with length of 120cm x width of 100 cm x height 80 cm for 7 weeks. The research design used completely randomized design with 3 treatments i.e., P0 (0 ml/l), P1 (20 ml/l), P2 (40 ml/l). Each treatment was replicated 3 times. Data on productivivity were analyzed with analysis of variance. The result show that, dose of basil leaf ekstract up to 40 ml/l in the drinking water has not increased the palatability of ration. This does not seem to be significantly different on feed intake, water intake, body weight and suppresses the FCR.
