Abstrak

The use of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) as an alternative to chemical fertilizers in agricultural cultivation continues to grow along with the increasing awareness of the importance of environmentally friendly agricultural practices. This study aims to identify the macro nutrient content in fermented liquid organic fertilizer made from market organic waste consisting of vegetable and fruit waste fermented using EM4 and molasses. Fermentation was carried out by adding fermentation solution consisting of EM4: Molasses: water (1:1:1000 ml) for 1 week in a closed container to allow the decomposition process of organic matter by microorganisms. The study used a completely randomized design with five treatments and four replications, consisting of: P1: Vegetable waste+Fermentation solution; P2: Fruit waste+Fermentation solution; P3: 25% Fruit waste and 75% vegetable + Fermentation solution; P4: 50% Fruit waste and 50% vegetable+Fermentation solution; P5: 75% Fruit and 25% vegetable waste+Fermentation solution. The parameters measured were C-Organic content, Nitrogen (N) content and C/N ratio. The results showed that the C content of LOF from fruit and vegetable waste fermented using EM4 and molasses was 9.217±0.456% to 10.106±0.079%, while the Nitrogen content was 1.00±0.007 to 1.42±0.012% and the C/N ratio was 7.199±1.138 to 10.11±1.111. The results of the study can be concluded that P2 and P3 treatments have the most ideal C/N ratio content (10.29 to 10.11). Vegetable waste fermented with EM4 and molasses can provide the most ideal C/N ratio compared to fermented fruit waste. Vegetable waste produces the best quality POC. The LOF has the potential to improve soil fertility in a sustainable manner. The high organic matter content and the presence of active microorganisms in the fermentation solution is an added value in its role as a biofertilizer that not only supplies nutrients but also improves soil structure and biological activity
