PENERAPAN BIOSECURITY PADA AYAM PARENT STOCK PT. JAPFA COMFEED INDONESIA FARM GISTING II

Abstract

Biosecurity is a defense system to prevent the entry and spread of disease in the farm
environment which is divided into three main aspects of conceptual, structural, and operational
biosecurity. This study aims to analyze the application of biosecurity on parent stock chicken of PT
Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Farm Gisting II. This research was conducted for 1 month. The method
used in the implementation was descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through
observation and interviews. Research observations include conceptual, structural, and operational
biosecurity observations. Biosecurity at PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Poultry Breeding Division
farm Gisting II has been running well as an indicator in weeks 22 to 25 the mortality rate of females
is 0.44% and males 0.12%. Biosecurity that is applied includes biosecurity control of guests and
employees, biosecurity of traffic control, biosecurity of intrusive animals, sanitation and waste
management that is already running well.
