Maintenance of BX (Brahman Cross) Cows at PT. Superindo Utama Jaya Banjar Sari, North Metro

Abstract

Brahman Cross cattle are a cross between Brahman cattle and Hereford-Shorthorn cattle
which were originally developed at the CSIRO'S Tropical Cattle Research Center station in
Rockhampton, Australia. Maintenance plays an important role because the success of a livestock
business is influenced by whether the maintenance is good or not. The aim of this final assignment
is to understand the maintenance of Brahman Cross cattle at PT. Superindo Utama Jaya Banjar Sari,
North Metro. The method used is observation and interviews with employees, staff and discussions.
Raising Brahman Cross cattle at PT. Superindo Utama Jaya Banjar Sari, North Metro has complied
with standards, namely cleaning cages and the environment, cleaning feed and drinking areas,
providing forage and concentrate, providing drinking water and health control.
