Abstract
This research report is about the design of a prototype intelligent control system for thecultivation of red chili (Capsicum annuum.L). The intelligent control system is designedusing microcontroller technology. The intelligent control system in question is control of theprocess of watering, spraying, and fertilizing chili plants automatically, which is designedaccording to the maintenance needs of red chili cultivation. The research method fordesigning an intelligent control system consists of several stages, namely: planning,requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and system documentation. Thebenefits of this intelligent control system include: the maintenance process on chilicultivation becomes easier and more controlled because the control process will be handledautomatically so that farmers and the general public can cultivate red chili plants better. Inthe end, it is hoped that there will be an increase in national red chili production. Anotherbenefit that will be felt is the reduction in human labor because the control process ofspraying, watering, and fertilizing is carried out by the tool automatically, so that the costsincurred for maintenance wages will decrease as a result the income of farmers and thecommunity will increase.Keyword: Red chili (Capsicum annuum.L), microcontroller, intelligentDownloads
