Penggunaan Selang Poly Ethylene (PE) Sebagai Jaringan Lateral Irigasi Tetes Emiter Tali untuk Budidaya Semangka

The research was conducted at the rice field in Cisarua Village, Natar Distric, South Lampung Region from July to October 2016 . The objectives of research were (1) To construct and install the drip irrigation with nylon rope emitter by using polyethilenen hose as lateral line on rice field plot of watermelon production. (2) To test irrigation performance of the drip irrigation  with rope emitter on rice field plot for watermelon production. The emitter of this drip irrigation was constracted from nylon rope with out diameter of 5 mm and plastic hose with in diameter of 5 mm. The long of each nylon rope and plastic hose as emitter were 4,5 cm. The operating pressure of the drip iirigation with nylon rope emitter was 1,5 m head with flow rate average 2,5 l/hour per emitter to the plant.In this research, there are four time irrigation interval treatments : 1 day time irrigation interval, 2 days time irrigation interval, 4 days time irrigation interval, and 6 days time irrigation interval. The result of the research showed that the water storage efficiency and water-distribution efficiency of  drip irrigation with nylon rope emitter were 100% and 87,37% respectively. Time interval irrigation by using drip irrigation with nylon rope emitter for watermelon not significantly different on yield of watermelon with yield average 4,83—5,25 kg/plant, but significantly different on water productivity. The lowest water productivity of watermelon by using drip irrigation with nylon rope emitter was gained on 1 day  irrigaton interval was 128 kg/m3, but the highest water productivity of watermelon was gained on 6 days irrigation interval was 333 kg/m3.  Key words : drip irrigation with nylon rope emitter, water storage efficiency, waterdistribution effiecieny, time irrigation interval, yield and water productivity of watermelon,.ÂUnduhan
