Abstrak

The obligations or conditions of food products traded by producers in terms ofguaranteeing halalness have been regulated in Law No.33 of 2014 concerning GuaranteedHalal Products. In the regulation, precisely in article 4 it is explained that products that enter,circulate, and are traded in the territory of Indonesia must be certified halal. The purpose of thisstudy was to analyze the readiness of local food agroindustry UMKM in Lampung towardshalal certification policies and the factors that influence it. The results of the study revealedthat the readiness of small and medium-scale food industry players in the research locationswas not ready to implement halal policies. Based on the results of research at the researchlocation, it is known that the factors of knowledge about halal, awareness to find out,technology used, scale of business, knowledge of bureaucratic rules and certification costs(0.40) This is due to a lack of understanding of the urgency of halal certification and therelatively small scale of business
