The choice of planting media and fertilization is an important factor in the success of orchid propagation, especially at the acclimatization stage. The aim of this research were determine the type of planting media and the best interval for giving foliar fertilizer and determine the best interactions and combinations of treatment of the type of planting media and the interval for giving foliar fertilizer on the growth of dendrobium orchid plantlets in the acclimatization and enlargement stages. This research used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with the first factor being the type of planting media and the second factor being the interval of foliar fertilizer application. The first factor includes M1: wood charcoal, M2: cocopeat, M3: wood charcoal + cocopeat 1:1, M4: wood charcoal + cocopeat 1:2, and M5: wood charcoal + cocopeat 1:3. The second factor includes P1: once every 4 days, P2: once every 8 days, P3: once every 12 days. The results of the research showed that the cocopeat planting media type provided the best percentage of acclimatization success for the Dendrobium Blue twist x Dendrobium Biggibum orchids. Providing foliar fertilizer at 8-day intervals provides the best increase in plantlet height and leaf width at the acclimatization and plantlet enlargement stages of Dendrobium Blue twist x Dendrobium bigibbum orchids. One way to increase production value is to increase soil fertility by increasing fertilization. Fertilization is carried out to replace nutrients lost due to rainwater by using fertilizer containing the elements N, P and K, one of which is KNO<sub>3</sub> and KH<sub>2</sub>PO<sub>4</sub> fertilizer. The aim of this research is to find out which combination of KNO<sub>3</sub> and KH<sub>2</sub>PO<sub>4</sub> is better and to find out whether the single application of KNO<sub>3 </sub>and KH<sub>2</sub>PO<sub>4</sub> is good for the growth and yield of curly red chili plants. The research used a factorial randomized block design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the concentration of KNO<sub>3</sub> fertilizer, with 3 levels, namely 3; 4; 5g/l. The second factor is the concentration of KH<sub>2</sub>PO<sub>4</sub> Fertilizer, with 3 levels of 3,5; 4,5; 5,5g/l. Each treatment was repeated 3 times, so there were 9 treatment combinations and 27 experimental units. The variables observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of shoots, fruit weight per plant, number of fruit per plant and root length. Potassium nitrate (KNO<sub>3</sub>) fertilizer treatment with a concentration of 5 g/l and potassium dihydrophosphate (KH<sub>2</sub>PO<sub>4</sub>) 5,5 g/l had a significant effect on plant growth in plant height. Providing potassium nitrate (KNO<sub>3</sub>) fertilizer with a concentration of 4 g/l and potassium dihydrophosphate (KH<sub>2</sub>PO<sub>4</sub>) 5,5 g/l had a significant effect on plant growth including the number of branches and stem diameter. Var Siam Aurora dengan Pemberian IBA dan NAA https://jurnal.polinela.ac.id/jht/article/view/3371 <p><em>Stem cutting propagation is commonly used to vegetative propagated of Aglaonema sp, however the growing roots has not been much growth. Nevertheless, the shoots that grow only one to three buds with the length of time shoots and roots appear is about 50-75 days after cuttings. It is all depends on the genotype of the Aglaonema sp. The aims of this study was to (i) determine the effect of IBA and NAA concentration in inducing roots of Aglaonema sp. Var Siam Aurora stem cuttings; (ii) to determine the interaction of IBA and NAA treatments to inducing&nbsp; roots of Aglaonema sp. Var Siam Aurora; (iii) determine the best combination of IBA and NAA to inducing roots of Aglaonema sp. Var Siam Aurora. The experimental design was Randomized Block Design (RBD) Factorial with the first factor is the IBA concentration; 0 mg.l<sup>-1</sup>(I<sub>0</sub>) and 1000 mg.l<sup>-1</sup>(I<sub>1</sub>). The second factor is NAA concentration; 0 mg.l<sup>-1</sup>(N<sub>0</sub>), 500 mg.l<sup>-1</sup> (N<sub>1</sub>), 1000 mg.l<sup>-1</sup> (N<sub>2</sub>), </em><em>1.500 mg.l<sup>-1</sup> (N<sub>3</sub>)</em><em>and 2000 mg.l<sup>-1</sup> (N<sub>4</sub>) and resulting 10 combination treatments of IBA and NAA. The data was conducted with analysis of variance and followed by BNT test at 5% and the variable observed were root length, number of roots, first time of roots growth, first time of buds growth, the percentage of cutting stem. The goal of this study was to evaluate the best NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer concentration and planting media, as well as the combination of the best NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer concentration and planting media, on the growth and yield of pakchoy (Brassica rapa L). </em><em>This study used </em><em>a split plot in </em><em>factorial randomized block design</em><em>. The first factor is the concentration of AB mix fertilizer as a control at 1400 ppm (N1)</em><em> and the concentration of NPK fertilizer, namely: 758 ppm (N2), 1000 ppm (N3). </em><em>The </em><em>second factor </em><em>element is the type of planting medium, which consists of 6 media: rockwool (M1), cotton (M2), sponge (M3), fern (M4), charcoal husk (M5), and cocopeat (M6), with 2 repetitions and 18 treatment combinations. Plant height (cm), number of leaves (pieces), leaf width (cm), leaf length (cm), wet weight of sample plants (grams), and dried weight of plants (grams) were the observation variables.</em> <em>In comparison to an NPK nutrient concentration of 1000 ppm, providing an NPK fertilizer concentration of 758 ppm resulted in better growth and yield in the parameters of number of leaves, wet weight, and dry weight of pak choy plants. Chili is one of three main of vegetables commodities in Lampung. However, pepper yellow leaf curl disease is still a major obstacle faced by farmers to increase chili productivity. Therefore, the aim of this research is to study the characteristics of symptoms and the incidence rate of pepper yellow leaf cull disease of Capsicum annuum L. and Capsicum frutescens in organic cultivation practice. The results shown that the characteristics or early symptoms of pepper yellow leaf curl disease on chilies are yellowing of young leaves, mosaic and malformation which are found in C. annuum L and C. frutescens. </em><em>The intensity of disease attacks on chili plants by giving POC from the Mimosa pudica roots (PM) gave positive efect with an average low attack intensity in the 8<sup>th</sup> week, namely 32% compared to giving POC from bamboo roots (AB) with an average attack intensity 45.5%. This indicates that POC from the roots of Mimosa pudica (PM) is capable of being a bioprotectant for chili plants. Efforts to overcome this can be done by adding foliar fertilizer and boron. Therefore, this research aims to obtain the best type of foliar fertilizer for melon yield, the best boron concentration for melon yield, and the interaction between the addition of foliar fertilizer and boron concentration on melon yield. This research used a Factorial Randomized Group Split Plot Design (RAK) with 3 replications. The first factor (main plot) is foliar fertilizer (without foliar fertilizer, Growmore 2 g.l<sup>-l</sup>, and Gandasil 2 g.l<sup>-l</sup>), while the second factor (sub plot) is boron concentration (0 mg.l<sup>-l</sup>, 0.5 mg. l<sup>-l</sup>, 0.6 mg.l<sup>-l</sup>, 0.7 mg.l<sup>-l</sup>, and 0.8 mg.l<sup>-l</sup>). Observation parameters consisted of fruit diameter (cm), fruit weight (grams), fruit flesh thickness (cm), and dissolved solids (°brix). The research results showed that Gandasil 2 g.l<sup>-l</sup> gave higher yields when compared to without foliar fertilizer and Growmore 2 g.l<sup>-l</sup> on the soluble solids parameter (fruit sweetness), boron concentration of 0.7 mg.l<sup>-l</sup> gave better results on fruit weight, fruit diameter, fruit flesh thickness and soluble solids (fruit sweetness), and there was no interaction between the type of foliar fertilizer treatment and boron concentration on all parameters observed.</em></p> Adi Candra Saputra Rizka Novi Sesanti Desi Maulida Sismanto Sismanto Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Horticulture Production Technology 2023-12-25 2023-12-25 1 2 102 111 Pengaruh Pemberian Biostimulan Azzofos terhadap Persemaian Jahe Emprit (Zingiber officinalle var. Amarum) pada Berbagai Wadah Persemaian https://jurnal.polinela.ac.id/jht/article/view/3403 <p>The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory content makes ginger one of the commodities sought after in Indonesia. The problem in ginger cultivation is the rhizomes used as seeds have long dormancy period. Application of Azzofos and the use of various nursery containers in ginger nurseries hope can break ginger dormancy. The objective of this research is to determine the concentration of Azzofos solution and the best nursery container. The experimental design used in this research was factorial Randomized Group Design (CRD). This research consists of two factors, first factor is nursery container consisting of cement floor, plastic tray and jute sack. The second factor is the concentration of stimulant solution consisting of water, dithane solution, and Azzofos solution with concentrations of 3 ml/l, 6 ml/l, and 9 ml/l. The research consisted of 15 treatment combinations which repeated three times, so there were 45 experimental units. The parameters observed were the number of shoots, shoot diameter, shoot height and percentage of weight loss of ginger rhizomes which observed at the end of the research. The data were analyzed using F test analysis at the 5% level. If there is significantly different then continue with the DMRT. The results showed that jute sack nursery containers had the lowest weight loss percentage of small white ginger rhizomes compared to cement floor and plastic trays nursery containers. Dithane solution and Azzofos solution with concentration of 9 ml/l had better shoot diameter and shoot height compared to water and azzophos solution with a concentration of 3 ml/l.</p> Dede Tiara Wika Anrya Darma Sekar Utami Putri Ratih Rahhutami Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Horticulture Production Technology 2023-12-29 2023-12-29 1 2 112 117 Morfogenesis Anggrek Dendrobium ‘Gradita 31’ dengan Penggunaan Benzyladenine atau Thidiazuron https://jurnal.polinela.ac.id/jht/article/view/3493 <p><em>Dendrobium Gradita 31 has superior characteristics that are in demand by the market in Indonesia, so seeds with sameness quality, the same characteristics as the parent and in large quantities are needed. Tissue culture is one solution to support the availability of seeds in large quantities and have a high level of sameness quality. The process of regulating the type of ZPT and concentration in the culture media does not always produce the same regeneration pathway. This research aims to determine the regeneration pathway and to obtain the best type and concentration of cytokinin to support its regeneration pathway. This study used a completely randomized design with 3 replications. The first factor is the type of cytokinin, BA and Tdz. The second factor is the concentration of Benzyladenine and Thidiazuron, 1, 2 and 3 mg/l.. The data was analyzed using analysis of variance, and mean value was tested using tukey test 5%. The results of this study indicate that the regeneration pathway in the formation of adventitious shoots was indirect embryogenesis. The use of Tdz 3 mg/l was able to produce the highest percentage of somatic embryo formation and the highest number of somatic embryos.
