TATALAKSANA SANITASI KANDANG SEBAGAI PENCEGAHAN PENYAKIT MULUT-KUKU DAN LUMPY SKIN DISEASE

Abstrak

Beef cattle are one type of livestock that is raised for meat. Cattle have various weaknesses such
as transmission to various diseases, recently there has been foot and mouth disease (FMD) and
lumpy skin disease (LSD) which of course endangers the safety of livestock, because the
transmission is quite fast. Therefore, there is a need for a pen sanitation program or biosecurity
in a company, this needs to be done as an effort to prevent disease for a beef cattle company. The
purpose of this Final Assignment Report is to analyze the management of pen sanitation or
biosecurity at PT. Juang Jaya Abdi Alam. The research method used is a qualitative method, a
method of collecting data by conducting observations and interviews. The observations made
were the sanitation process, cage cleanliness, waste disposal, and pest control. The results of the
observations showed that the process of pen sanitation or biosecurity which includes several
things carried out by PT. Juang Jaya Abdi Alam is very good because there is no indication of
FMD cases or LSD attacking livestock.
