Desain Dan Modifikasi Mesin Panen Padi Tipe Mini Combine Untuk Menurunkan Nilai Groun Pressure

Sulha Pangaribuan, Lilik Tri Mulyantara, Anjar Suprapto

Application of harvest and harvest handling machineries are able to reduce significantly grain losses of rice. Harvest and harvest handling of paddy consist of cutting, threshing, sortation, straw chopping and grain packaging. Those processes are combining into one process in rice combine harvester. Due to the fact performance of paddy combine harvester, the BBP Mektan was conducted reverse engineering design started since 2012 – 2014. Output of the activity in 2012 was a complete engineering detail drawing of the combine, while complete fabrication and testing have been done in the 2013. The purpose of the research is The expected output reverse engineering activities in 2013 are the following:  a) machine transport system, rubber track wheel that have ground pressure 0.11 to 0.14 kg/cm2; b) cutting width of the machine1.2 m; c) feeding whole type mechanism of threshing; d) total losses 0.8% - 1%; and e) working capacity less than 14 hours/ha. Results of field test were: a) ground pressure of rubber track wheel 0.13 kg/cm2; 2.51% of total losses; and working field capacity of the machine 5.6 hours/ha. From the observation, losses occur while cutting process that grain hitting thes crewand feeder plate. These losses will be reduced by modifying: auger rotation decreased from 225 rpm to about 160 rpm and the replacement ofthe feeder plate with steel re inforcing material thus reducing grain bounced out.
