Pengaruh Media Tanam dan Pupuk Organik Cair (Poc) Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Bawang Merah (Allium Ascalonicum L.)

Abstrak

Type of planting media is very influential on plant growth, because the planting medium cansupporting the development of roots and providing nutrients. Liquid organic fertilizer (POC) is a liquid organic fertilizer that can be used to increase the nutrients for plants. The proper use of planting media and combined with liquid organic fertilizer is expected to increase the growth and production of  onion plants. This study aims to determine the effect of planting media and liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and production of onion plants. This study uses Randomized Block Design (RAK) arranged factorially. The first factor is the type of planting medium (M), consisting of soil (m1), soil + goat manure (m2), and soil + goat manure +  husk (m3), the second factor is POC (P) liquid organic fertilizer, consisting of POC (p1) and not given POC (p0). The data were analyzed by variance, followed by the test of real difference at the level of 5%. The results showed that the type of planting media influenced the number of leaves, number of tubers, tuber diameter, fresh tuber weight, fresh leaf weight, and weight of dry leaves of oven. Soil media treatment plus goat manure showed the highest value on variables of leaf number, tuber diameter, fresh tuber weight. Soil media treatment plus goat manure and husk showed the highest value on fresh leaf weight variables, and dry leaf weight of the oven. Provision of liquid organic fertilizer and interaction between growing media with liquid organic fertilizer did not affect all observation variables. Keywords: red onion, planting medium, POC
