Pengaruh Perlakuan Tunggal Bahan Aktif 2,4 D Dan Glifosat Terhadap Kandungan Klorofil Asystasia (Asystasia intrusa)

Weeds are specific group of plant that grow in unwanted areas and at the same time with cultivar plant. One way to control weeds population is by using specific herbicides. Herbicides which is used in this study are a give ingredient of 2,4-D and Glifosate. Both type of them have been known to be selective against weeds and its broadleaf by interfering with plant metabolism which causes damage on weeds tissues and leaf chlorophyll structure thus decreases weeds endurance. The experiment has been conducted at the experimental station of PT. Great Giant Pineapple and Departement of Biology in december 2013 to january 2014. This
study aims to detetermine the effect of the active herbicides in gredient 2,4-D and Glyphosate on chlorophyll content and leaf damage of Asystasia intrusa. The research has been designed by using group randomized design with single treatment. The treatment used is various herbicides concentration in each experimental samples, namely the concentration of, 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%. Parameters that have been measured are weed damagem percentage, Chlorophyll content and leaf discoloration. The result shows that the use of active angredient in herbicides incrreases weed’s leaf damage percentage significantly, which causes largest percentage of leaf damage at 87,5% in 4% concentration of 2,4-D and at 97,5% in 45 concntration of Glyphosates, There are significant decreasing in chlorophyll content of weeds, in which the largest of it are 11,029 mg/l in 4% concentration of 2,4-D, and 10,,471 mg/l in 4% concentration of Glyphosate.
