Abstrak
This research report is about the design of a prototype intelligent control system for the
cultivation of red chili (Capsicum annuum.L). The intelligent control system is designed
using microcontroller technology. The intelligent control system in question is control of the
process of watering, spraying, and fertilizing chili plants automatically, which is designed
according to the maintenance needs of red chili cultivation. The research method for
designing an intelligent control system consists of several stages, namely: planning,
requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and system documentation. The
benefits of this intelligent control system include: the maintenance process on chili
cultivation becomes easier and more controlled because the control process will be handled
automatically so that farmers and the general public can cultivate red chili plants better. In
the end, it is hoped that there will be an increase in national red chili production. Another
benefit that will be felt is the reduction in human labor because the control process of
spraying, watering, and fertilizing is carried out by the tool automatically, so that the costs
incurred for maintenance wages will decrease as a result the income of farmers and the
community will increase.
