Abstrak

The study aims to determined the effectiveness of biological fertilizers containing mixture culture of N-free fixing bacteria and phosphate solubilizing microbes (MCF) on sweet corn. The treatments were fertilization using mixture culture of N-free fixing bacteria and phosphate solubilizing microbes without NPK fertilizer (MCF), MCF+NPK half dosage recommendation (MCF+NPK50), MCF+NPK dosage recommendation (MCF+NPK100) and as comparisons were NPK fertilizer dosage recommendation (NPK 100) as well as a kind of biological fertilizers which have been sold on the market (CBF). The treatment in each plots arranged using a randomized complete block design with five replications. Plant height, number of leaves, plant stem diameter, and yield weight was as variable observation. The results showed that a level influence of MCF fertilizer without NPK on sweet corn growth lower than MCF+NPK and CBF fertilizer as well as NPK dosage recommendation. The effectiveness of MCF and MCF+NPK50 fertilizer was lower than NPK dosage recommendation with RAE value 66.2% and 82.3% respectively.
