Peranan PTT Padi Dalam Mengembangkan Pertanian Organik di Provinsi Banten

Abstrak

Organic agriculture is included in one of the components of Integrated Crop Management (ICM) of Rice. The goal of this study is: 1) To analyze the use level of organic fertilizers in the implementation of ICM of Rice in Banten province, 2) Knowing the factors that influence the adoption of organic fertilizer in the province of Banten. The method used was a survey method, was conducted in four districts. Methods of data analysis using qualitative and quantitative analysis. Qualitative analysis using descriptive tabulation. Quantitative analysis using logistic regression oppotunity function (logit). The results of this study are: 1) Organic fertilizer application rate on Rainy Season (RS) 2010/2011 is relatively low at 40.8% of respondents, while the Dry Season (DS) - I 2011 farmers who use organic fertilizers by 29.2 %. 2) Based on the logit function, the determinants of adoption of organic fertilizer is Ever heard ICMFS, Urea Fertilizer Price, Other Fertilizer Prices, and Income of Livestock. The government is needed to support to develop organic farming, by providing subsidies for fertilizer, pesticides, and organic herbicides and guaranteed market.
