Peran Benih Unggul Dalam Upaya Peningkatan Produksi Pangan Nasional (Kasus Jawa Timur)

Abstrak

National development of maize production continues to grow . In an effort to increase food production rice and corn use of improved seed is one way to increase productivity. The results showed that seed developed many varieties of which are P 8009 , Pioneer and BISI - 18 , DK - DK 979 and 980 . Seed hybrids corn is developed due to the plant is able to deliver promised benefits . With area of 1.0 ha of cultivated paddy fields capable of providing a net profit of Rp 8.71 million dollars to Rp 9.54 million / ha . 66.67 % corn farmers using labeled hybrid corn seeds and utilize the remaining crops from neighbors. While in terms of the development of new rice that improved seed varieties developed are Ciherang, Cibogo, Ir - 64 and Situbagendit . With the same wide rice plants capable of providing a net profit of Rp 7.10 million to Rp 9.71 million. Other commodities are corn developed non- hybrid maize varieties that Bhishma and local corn varieties Caker. Bisma on the grounds that (a) seeds are larger and sturdier stems suitable for animal feed, (b) high resistance to disease and (c) easy maintenance and high productivity. With an area of 1.0 ha arable production of 6.24 tonnes and Rp 11.23 million gross . While varieties Caker Rp 0.75 million dollars .
