Respons Pertumbuhan Benih Kopi Robusta terhadap Waktu Perendaman dan Konsentrasi Giberelin (GA3)

Giberellic acid (GA3) is a natural and sintetic grower hormone for speeding up the germination process. The research objective is for knowing the soaking time effect, giberelin (GA3) concentration and the interaction of both factors toward germination and growth of the Robusta coffee seed. This research was carried out in a nursery garden of The State Polytechnic of Lampung, from June 2014 until July 2015. Research arranged by factorial used Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD). First factor was Giberelin (GA3) concentration i.e. G0 (without GA3), G1 (Giberelin concentration 1000 mg.l-1), G2 (Giberelin concentration 1250 mg.l-1), and G3 (Giberelin concentration 1500 mg.l-1). The second factor was soaking time i.e. A1 (soaking until 12 hours), A2 (soaking until 16 hours), A3 (soaking until 20 hours), and A4 (soaking until 24 hours). The results showed the seed soaking with giberelin (GA3) could affect germinate power, germinated seed quantities, and dry weigh of shoot. Sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) is a major source of commercial sugar production. Sugar is a commodity that is essential for the people of Indonesia both as a basic requirement as well as industrial raw material of food or beverage. Sugar demand is increasing with population growth and increasingly diverse array of foods. This study aims to determine the effect of mycorrhizal appropriate biological fertilizer for vegetative growth of sugarcane varieties of GMP and its interactions. Research carried out in the experimental garden of the State Polytechnic of Lampung, from July to December 2014. The method used was a randomized block design (RBD) factorial pattern, consisting of two treatment factors. The first factor was the rate of biofertilizers mycorrhizae which consisting of four levels, namely: M0 = 0 g of biofertilizers mycorrhizae per polybag, M1 = 10 g of biofertilizers mycorrhizae per polybag, M2 = 20 g of biofertilizers mycorrhizae per polybag and M3 = 30 g of biofertilizers mycorrhizae per polybag. The second factor was the varieties of sugarcane consisting of three varieties, namely: V1 = GMP1, V2 = GMP2 and V3 = GMP3. The results were analyzed using analysis of variance then continued with test least significant difference (LSD) 5%. The results showed that the effect on the variety of plant height and number of tillers. The aim of this research is to analyse the effect of the number of buds per stem cutting on vegetative growth, especially from germination phase to budding phase of sugarcane GMP2 and GMP3 varieties. Research carried out in the garden practices of The State Polytechnic of Lampung, Rajabasa, Bandar Lampung in November 2014 to February 2015. The research method used a factorial randomized block design, consisting of two factors. The first factor was the sugarcane varieties, i.e. GMP2 and GMP3. The second factor was the amount of buds from stem cutting which consists of 4 levels: 1, 2, 3, and 4 buds per stem cutting. Based on the results of this research there was no interaction between variety and number of buds from stem cutting. Varieties affected on plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, length of roots shoots (butters roots) and roots length rope (rope system roots). Pengaruh Jenis dan Lama Penyangraian pada Mutu Kopi Robusta (Coffea robusta)

The process of roasting the coffee beans will produce a good quality of taste and aroma. To conduct this research activity in the roasting researchers used a minimalist roaster machine (mini roaster). This study was conducted to determine the effect of temperature and duration of roasting, and the interaction of temperature and long roasting on the quality of Robusta coffee.The experiment was conducted in analysis laboratory, plant laboratory, and THP State Polytechnic of Lampung in November 2014 to February 2015. The experiments were performed with a patterned factorial randomized block design with 2 factors and each treatment combination was repeated 3 times. The first factor is the temperature which consists of three levels i.e. 190 oC, 200 oC, and 210 oC. The second factor is roasting duration wich consist of three levels i.e. 10 minutes, 16 minutes and 22 minutes. The results showed that the temperature 190 oC was the best in the roasting. Roasting duration 10 minutes was the best in the roasting process. Temperatures above 190 oC and duration above 10 minutes will reduce the quality of the coffee. The combination of the best treatment in the process of roasting seen from the middle value in the variable water content, juice coffee and caffeine levels are long roasting temperature of 190 oC and 10 minutes. Based on advanced testing methods Tukey confidence level of 95%, no interaction by the temperature and duration of roasting the coffee extract and the water content, but shows the interaction of the ash content and the caffeine content.Keywords: quality of Robusta coffee, roasting duration, roasting temperaturePermalink:Â http://jurnal.polinela.ac.id/index.php/AIP/article/view/34

Public rubber platation Indonesia reached 80% from the vast number of rubber Indonesia. But people rubber low quality, because the use of coagulant is not advice. The researc aims to use liquid smoke from midrib plam oil as an alternative coagulants formic acid to maintain the quality of crepe rubber. Dose of liquid smoke from midrib plam oil 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14% given in each treatment 250 ml latex and will be tested pH, long clotting time, dry rubber content, plasticity retention index (PRI), leves of substance evaporates, until ash, and levels of dirt in acordance with the SNI 1903 : 2000. Tests conducted in te laboratory PTPN VII business Wwy Unit Berulu, Pesawara, Lampung. Pengaruh Dosis Serum Lateks terhadap Koagulasi Lateks (Hevea brasiliensis)

Waste water that comes out of the milling process latex factory so many and has not been utilized, often becomes a problem for the environment if the handling is not optimal. This wastewater is known as latex serum. Latex serum can be used as an alternative coagulant because it has a low pH and containing metal ions. Low pH will lower the pH of the latex to the isoelectric point and cations of alkali metals will reduce electro kinetic potential latex, so latex becomes frozen. Research purposes to determine the length of time coagulation of latex, yield of coagulum and yield dry rubber. Research conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Production at Politeknik Negeri Lampung. The material used are latex serum and latex and other materials. The equipment used is the coagulation bath, digital pH meter, a wooden spatula, milling, stopwatch, and other analysis tools. The research tested in completely randomized design with one independent variable used is composed of coagulant doses: 0%, 4%, 8%, 12%, 16% and 20% v/v and replicated 3 times. The observation are pH of latex serum, pH oflatex, coagulation time, and yield dry rubber. The result showed that for pH of latex serum is 4.9, pH of latex is 6.22, the best doses to coagulation is 20% with time to coagulation 17 minute time, coagulum yield of 59.83 and dry rubber yield of 42.10.Keywords: coagulant, latex coagulation, latex serumPermalink:Â http://jurnal.polinela.ac.id/index.php/AIP/article/view/36

The sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) is the plant that worth high economical enough, because is the main raw material in manufacture of sugar. One of the efforts to increase the sugarcane production is applying organic fertilizer that can support the growth of sugarcane. The organic fertilizer is fertilizer that's mostly or entirely consist of organic material that from plants or animals that have through the decomposition process, it's can be solid or liquid which is used to supply organic material to improve the physical, chemical and biological soil. It's carried in the garden at Politeknik Negeri Lampung in September 2014 until January 2015. The experiment were performed using a randomized design group (RDG) factorial design which consists of two treatment factor is dosage of organic fertilizer and sugarcane varieties. The first was treatment   dose of organic fertilizer that consists of 5 levels, it’s 0 kg.ha-1 (control), 500 kg.ha-1, 1000 kg.ha-1, 1500 kg.ha-1, and 2000 kg.ha-1. The second factor is a sugarcane varieties, it'sGMP 2 and GMP 3 varieties. The study aims to get the optimal dose of organic fertilizer (Ghaly Organik), the best sugarcane varieties and knowing the interaction between the treatmenton vegetative growth of sugarcane. The result showed that the optimal dose that was applied on GMP 2 and GMP 3 varieties is 1000 kg.ha-1. GMP 2 Sugarcane varieties have better vegetative growth as compare with GMP 3sugarcane varieties. This research conduct to know vegetative growth response of sugarcane Ratton 1 to combination of organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer which comprises plant height, leaf length, stem diameter, number of tillers, leaf chlorophyll and N, P, K leaf total content. This research was conducted in September 2014 until February 2015 at State Polytechnic of Lampung teaching farm. The research was arranged in a factorial study using a randomized block design (RBD). The first factor is the four-level rate of organic fertilizer, namely: Oo = 0 kg.ha-1; O1 = 500 kg.ha-1; O2 = 750 kg.ha-1; O3 = 1000 kg.ha-1, and the second factor is three rate of inorganic fertilizer, namely A1 = 0%; A2 = 25%; A3 = 50% of recommended rate in Gunung Madu Plantations. The results showed that the effect of all treatments tested were not significantly affected on plant height, leaf length, stem diameter, number of tillers, and chlorophyll. The value of N obtained the highest results in the treatment rate of 500 kg.ha-1 organic fertilizer + organic fertilizer 50% instigation, the value of P highest rate treatment of 500 kg.ha-1 organic fertilizer + organic fertilizer 25% instigation, the value of K obtained the highest results in treatment rates 1000 kg.ha-1 organic fertilizer + 50% inorganic fertilizer recommendation.Keywords: inorganic fertilizers, organic fertilizer (organic Ghaly), ratoon 1Permalink:Â http://jurnal.polinela.ac.id/index.php/AIP/article/view/45

National sugar requirement for direct consumption of households and industry will increase in line with population growth. The national sugar demand in 2014 reached 5,700 million tons, while national production only 3,500 million tons. The aim of research to get a way to make palm sugar liquid. With a temperature of line and evaporation. The research was arranged in a randomized complete block design with a factorial treatment without the provision of lime and lime 0,05% combined with avaporation temperature of 70 0C, 80 0C, evaporation temperature and 90 0C, evaporation temperature. Goat is one of animal by the village people in Indonesia is one of the goat farm animals are much in demand by the people of the village. Adult goats capable produce solid fecal waste as much as 0.5 kg per day, in the long term this will be a problem if not handled properly. Goat manure can be used as fertilizer. In the manufacture of manure requires serious attention because during the fermentation progresses, there is  variety of transformation processes in fertilizers. The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of fermentation on the quality of goat manure. This study was conducted in State Polytechnic of Lampung in October 2014 until February 2015. The experimental design used was a randomized block design (RBD) consisted of six treatment fermentation period: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks with three replications.length of fermentation showed the presence of a marked influence on C/N ratio. The value of C/N ratio has decreased accordance with the length of fermentation time, indicated in the treatment of older fermentation 8, 10, and 12 which have a value of C/N ratio is getting smaller 15, 12, and 10.The nutrient content of N and P unless the element K not significantly different, but all three have increased. Based on research that has been done, it can be concluded that the length of fermentation effect on the value of C/N ratio, the content of N and P, but has no effect on the value of the content of K manure goats and best quality was obtained in treatment fermentation period of 10 weeks with a value of C/N ratio 12 and N content of 1.16%, P: 1.01%, and K: 1.27%.Keywords: fermentation duration, goat manure, organic fertilizerPermalink: http://jurnal.polinela.ac.id/index.php/AIP/article/view/50
